Hi everybody, I'm 15 and have a permit. My dad is planning on finding a small cheap car for me to learn with until I fully learn how to drive(next summer). When I'm fully trained with driving, I'll get to pick out a nice car(1-2 years). I'm hoping I can get a MKIV Supra. Since I live in Utah, there arn't many here for sale. I might fly to California to get one. Here is the car I'm spying on that I will use to learn with.
'91 Toyota Supra MKIII $3,650: What you guys think? |
Looks clean, but that's a lot of $ for a non-turbo. What makes you think its worth that much?
|
Hey, I saw that car for sale on KSL (Utah classifides). Looks clean but I saw several N/A ones on there for about 1500 and one that ran for $350. I got mine for $2900 with turbo in near mint condish. I'd wait and watch for a better deal. They are out there (even in Utah) if you look.
Hey, wanted to add -I just looked on KSL.com and there is a 1991 supra turbo, it is black and an auto. It is in decent shape body looks good, interior has some flaws they are asking $2500. thought you might be interested. |
Yeah I agree you should wait for a better deal. I got mine for free so they aren't that hard to find.

I personally like the MKIII's much more. Mine's a MKIII. If you can find one of those in decent condition, go for that. The MKIV you've got going there is nice, but I would also wait for a better deal.
Good luck :) |
Yeah, keep your eyes open on KSLcars.com Thats where I purchased my 90 Supra Turbo, white in mint condition.
|
thanks for the suggestions guys. I will look on KSL for good deals.

I found one for $350 that needs a new paintjob, minor interior work, and a new fuel pump. In all it's a $800 cost. I might get it. It's a 1986 nonturbo.
