Soon to be on the road again

Hi everybody, new guy here. I've had my '89 Turbo 5spd Targa since last September, and I've had a bit of bad luck with it so far. Back in January I had a bit of a misshap with black ice and slid into a tree and smashed up the front left corner real good. Since then I've been fixing it up myself with help from my uncle.

Need to take more pics, these are just from my cell. Replaced bumper, header panel, hood and fender.

A few weeks ago it was almost done, took it out for a spin, and what do you know my head gasket blows. Cyl 6 was nicely steam cleaned and #1 was on its way. I just put the head back in last weekend, wasn't as bad as people at work were saying it was. Waiting for a new non-bottleneck DP and new radiator hoses before I put the turbo back in.

Mods so far are: 3" budget custom exhaust (my uncle who is a Mercedes tech pieced it together using mild steel and bits from an SLK 55 AMG, works great), 3" DP, SupraSport elbow, big FMIC with 2.5" cheap ebay piping, Tein HR coilovers, ARP studs, TurboXS MBC, Apexi SAFC, Lexus AFM, NGK Iridium plugs and wires, Greddy timing belt all I can think of now

Since I was a kid the MKIII Supra has always sort of been my dream car cause I would always use it in the first Gran Turismo. Some of it so far has been a case of don't meet your heroes but I really hope to get it for the summer because I'm sick of driving my dad's Buick :(

Looks like you have some pretty bad luck with your supra these days. It looks good anyway. Hope you don\'t have any more trouble with it in the future!

Fast forward a year. It\'s been back on the road since last June/July. It now has a new head gasket, wheels, intercooler, and I have a stage 3 clutch and lightweight flywheel on the way. I now also have real pictures, the whole car needs to be buffed/waxed:

Engine is a bit messy:

Once I finish school next year and I get some money saved up I want to do a 1JZ-GTE swap.

Yeah that\'s a beauty right their. All I gotta do is swap my motor back in and my car will be road worthy, I\'ll be sure to post some pictures soon. But I have a quick question, with the lexus afm are you using stock injectors? and Is it running rich or actually making quite a bit more power? I was kind of debating buying one for my next upgrade.

Its sad to hear that a small accident made your car look ugly. But don\'t worry soon it will be in its previous stage. But your car was really mind blowing.

Wow, Looks like you really turned that around. Good Job.
