Big one: A/C Condenser Cooler.
Small one: Engine oil cooler.
Auto’s also have a small cooler for transmission fluid of the same size as the engine oil cooler in about the same position.

Thanks cre, the part #`s are for a UK model, I think the US would have a cut-out for the side repeaters, hence the different part #`s. I have 2 options: find a similar body panel from another car...

Not much good to you I`m afraid, these are MK IV wheels 51 off-set unless you use spacers (which I wouldn’t recommend) The MK III stock wheels are 37 off-set.

Sounds like the gear has been installed 180 degrees out of position on the shaft; the only drawback is when you install the CPS (as you said) you need to turn the gear 180 degrees to compensate....
