i'd have to check my book on it, but this web site might be able to help. its designed for the 87-92 but they didnt change a whole bunch between the ignition systems....

no, both motors should use the same firing order....

no, both motors should use the same firing order. did you check your ignitor? is the signal from the distributor reaching the ignitor or coil?
