Mine has the spring, but i don't see how that spring pops the hood up. It just releases the hood and does not pop it up. Should the hood struts lift it up a little??

I sprayed it down with wd-40, but im pretty sure there is no spring to pop the hood anywhere. Could someone take a pic of there hood release so I could compare mine to it.
