Power Problem!
Hey, I have an 89 turbo and for some reason when i was trying to turn over my car (it always takes a few times to start in the cold) I lost all power, So i automatically thought it was the 100Amp ALT...

im sorry to be the one to tell you this... but...
im sorry to be the one to tell you this... but that happened to me aswell... and it was right after doing a 3 layer MHG job on the car i did it all myself brought the block and head to be surfaced...

ok so... ive did so much more to my car today... i went to put the metal gasket back on where the exhaust meets the turbo and noticed its all threading... so i need to buy a new one to complete my 5...

hey ok so.... i got my tranny fully bolted in and was working on the head when i came across the torque specs in the repair manual and it said torque the head studs down to 55-61 psi... now that...

well do u think if i bolting the clutch and flywheel all together bolting the tranny to it and filled it with fluid if it might lube it into not being stuck?
cuz apparently this tranny only has 160k...

i really dont know man... i do know that i can turn everything inside and it glides like butter though... its so clean inside and out no stress cracks... and the clutch was still mint the presure...

manual transmission
i am doing a conversion and i think i ran into a problem... i have the manual tranny and nothings in it the clutch and presure plate and all is out of it... theres no fluid in it... but the gears...

ok... im not sure if its blown or not... but definitly warped, when i push my car and get the engine heated then turn off the car it either steams out the hood right infront on the drivers side...

tire bolts?...
i was just woundering how much psi i should torque my bolts to on my 89 turbo... i have to rotate front to back because the track destroyed my rear tires completly, thanks
