No, this actually completely locks the drivetrain and the wheels for a brief second, if it was fuel flow it should just rev down shouldn't it?

Well it seems as though the exhaust gasses can't escape fast enough so some of it stays in the cylinder through the next intake and compression stroke causing to lock, a friend called it compression...

When I run the engine close to the rev limiter the engine just locks briefly.
Thought it could be something to do with the valves not opening far enough to let the exhaust gasses out.
