car runs better without air flow meter?!?! wtf

89 supra 7mgte, car will not idle with the air flow meter hooked up but as soon as you unplug it it idles but its high, so does this mean the meter is bad??
any help would be appreciated

i took my ecu out today to unwire my safac, and the ecu says 7mgt A/T ......does that mean its actually to a automatic? and if so will that make a difference or are they the same?

i have a 89 turbo supra 7mgte, its not running right now so i was changing plugs, first off cylinder 3 plug was clean and wet with gas so im amusing the wire or that side of the coil is dead, but...

actually i never got around to it today, got stuck at the Toyota dealer with a friend wile he was getting a car all day, but i did manage to go get some noid lights so i'm gonna check out the plugs...

i just got a 1989 supra turbo and its not running on all cylnders i dont think, i was told that the cas sensor was posibly bad?? anyone know a way to check them? im also going to check the obvious...
