exhaust

the turbo is what connects the exhaust to the block/manifold.

then the elbow comes off the turbo and then you have your downpipe.

headers come directly off the block because there is no turbo.

Talking downpipe question

i am thinking of getting a 3" downpipe for the supra.

i was just wondering if the flex pipe is needed in the downpipe.

does it do what it sounds like, give the exhaust a little "flex?"

cutting

you mean cutting springs is what you don't recommend.

that lowers your car but the ride is bouncy and no "spring" action.

i don't know what else it could be.

downpipe

are you talking about headers?

because a downpipe is the exhaust that comes off the turbo elbow or can bolt right up to the turbo.

headers come right off the manifold of the n/a.
