Thanx Mr nickleye thats what I thought it should be :) I found out today that Base timing is timing with the short in the diag plug all good !!!

so when you say ten degrees base, I set my Crank to 10 then line my cams up to the mark and find a tooth ??

Thanx for your help and advice guys, that is just what I was after. I marked all the hoses and pipes with paint when I disassembled the motor, and then gave everything a good clean "Der" :nuts: then...
