what do you think is the best supra

suprra_girl 02-16-2005 09:50 AM

MK3 POWER ALL THE WAY BABY!!! ;)

300hpvision 02-19-2005 04:40 AM

hell no its MKIV man

KingDiamond 05-06-2005 11:35 PM

i have to agree with supra girl on this one MKIII is the best, of course i want an mkIV just to piss off my one friend. He is such a dumbass sometimes, he cries he wants a supra, and instead of spending his 16,000 or whatever he financed for his pontiac sunfart, he could have put in a bid on a supra on ebay. Now that i bring that up to him everytime i see him, he gets so mad.

monkihead 05-07-2005 03:51 PM

i like the body on the mk3 but the interior of the mk4. stock to stock i'd pick up the mk4......thats why i picked up an mk3, because shes going to be no where near stock.

supersupra 05-08-2005 12:13 PM

you,ve all got to be kidding me

the mark IV by a foot long. the mark three is quite nice and the first supra i will purchase, though the mark IV looks so more complete, and a done up one more i grabbing than a mark III, the oldies look like bugdet mobiles (though a greater satisfaction on beating a ferrari, i dont doubt that  :P B) )

KingDiamond 05-09-2005 02:58 PM

budget mobiles :( , wow makes me feel like my car is right up there with the dodges aries k car, i'm gonna go sit in the corner and cry now.

supersupra 05-16-2005 10:52 AM

actually now that you mention it monkeyman, i would prefer the mkIII to the newer one, it might just be litlle better on the fuel for starters

supersupra 05-20-2005 11:31 AM

jza80 Supra C-I TT 05-20-2005 03:38 PM

isn't the mark 3 a smaller car? with a smaller chassis? then isn't it easier for road handling? with a turbo? then that does sound better but can u put in a twin turbo in there?

it depends on track width, not so much as "smaller". wider and lower reduces body roll against corners. single turbo can be best for top end high hp, while in my experience twins are better for street use. it depends on how you have your car setup. there are just too many combinations out there....

jza80 Supra C-I TT 05-20-2005 10:50 PM

would a 1997 toyota supra twin turbo good for curcuit use? i would like to race proffessionaly... but im only a freshman in high school. HELP ME OUT GUYS!! (and girls, sorry suprra)

supersupra 05-21-2005 11:27 AM

i'd say so, i reackon a 97 supra could beat any mkIII :P

suprra_girl 05-23-2005 12:08 PM

i reckon the 7mgte is the worst engine out there for drinking petrol LOL

and they're heavier than the mk4
but i mean c'mon... where did they get the idea for the mk4 LOL... it in no way resembles a mk3 and plus.. the mk3 has wayyyyyyyy more luxury than a mk4 ;)

let the flamefest begin :lol:

for the track i would use a mk4.... but for drifting.. altho more difficult... the mk3.. coz it's wayyyyyy more fun lol

supersupra 05-23-2005 12:32 PM

did you guys read a surpa inthe autosalon a couple of years ago or somtin', there was a auto supra with 532hp at the rear wheels, single turbo and it done around 6 litres per 100km's :o

try owning a tiburon. that bastard car had worse gas(petrol) mileage that any other car ive owned. at 60mph the tach read 3k rpm in 6TH gear. max highway range was 300mi. on 16 gal of gas. the supras been able to get 350+mi lately. except for last night...heehee

jza80 Supra C-I TT 05-24-2005 02:02 AM

u hit 6th gear at 60 mph? r u okay bro? were u drinking? just imagine him accelerate!! haha! i would walk faster then ever. SUPERSUPRA U SPELLED SUPRA WRONG IN A SUPRA FORUM!!! we should kick make fun of and ban u for the rest of your life and keep u from look at a supra... its horrible. its unthinkable. i cant believe it... ( ) whats so good about having a wider and heavier car? does it have more pros than cons? (dont u guys think the mkiii kinda sorta looks like the old ferrari's in the front?)

i drink all the time. esspecially when im drunk  wider gives better ground control as long as the car isnt too tall. heavier makes for a smoother ride on high speeds. the tib got scary between 130-140mph.

midwestmk2 06-22-2005 04:35 PM

Ive driven all of them except the MK1.. :) To me i dont much care for the handling or acceleration of the newer ones..I guess its just the turbo setups.. I currently own a 83MK2 and i have left every MK3,and4 at the lights ive pulled up to and im naturally assperated..sure they caught me buy 3rd gear(only170hp)..Stock engine just a few mods.. Next summer im going to order a crate from the "chimp" ..Race prepped head and block with 11;01 compression..Can you say torque monster!! Hopfully i should get atleast 250 to 300 out of that set up.. Maybe a 50 to 100 shot of NOS..I dont know..The MK2 seems to corner alot better than the others also.. Plus i want to see you get a MK3 or 4 down to 2500lbs and still be completly street leagal and have stock body parts wth interior..That means no carbon or glass.. If i do that then we are talking 2100 to 2200 or less,easy.. Thats a nice power to weight ratio,Naturally assperated..! B) But its all in the eye of the beholder.. Your choice as long as its a SUPRA!! :P

KingDiamond 06-22-2005 06:02 PM

I must say myself its hard to choose between the MK3 and MK2, but i do agree to me the mk2 handles better.

Aboyandhiscar 07-03-2005 05:35 PM

The only Ferrari that a Supra could beat is one without an engine.

This person is very confused.

rani 07-08-2005 03:02 AM

if mkIII was better than a '06 or a mkIV then kerry would be president.........that makes no sense but.......oh well who cares!!.................the only TRUE thing is mkIV or mkV definetely whup mkIII.... B)

rani 07-08-2005 03:09 AM

[QUOTE]Aboyandhiscar: The only Ferrari that a Supra could beat is one without an engine.

rani 07-08-2005 03:22 AM

oh yea.....i forgot to tell u my friend in chicago has a corvette c6, a 800 hp mkIV, and a ferrari modina.......and his mkIV has whup'd all of them....my other friend in chicago hac a whoppin 1016 hp mkIV and whups everything in sight.........and my cousin in chicago has a mkIV with every visual upgrade possible on it and a whoppin 750 hp or somethin like that on it............and all of them were bought as stock single turbo mkIV's....is my life awesome or wat i get to freakin ride in em whenever i go over there........

KingDiamond 07-08-2005 03:40 PM

The only reason I have a problem with the MKIV supra is that right now its a me 2 car, sorry but after fast and furious thats what it has become.
