Models Go Here. Car Models, That Is--Post 'em up! Warning: Pic Intensive

Well, I have been wanting to make models' thread for some time in an OT section, so here goes the thread.

This is how I have my goodies displayed:

Got my two Lamborghinis to the left (Countach & Diablo):
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v519/Tony9RR/5.jpg

An assortment of the best of the best, by today's standards: Saleen S7, McLaren F1, & Ferrari Enzo (aka F-60):
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v519/Tony9RR/1.jpg

TONY! 01-01-2006 07:47 PM

Another Saleen S7 in a different color and a Ferrari Maranello 550 (both of which can touch 200 MPH!).
The Maranello 550 is the car that sort of replace the 512TR aka Testarossa.
Although it is very different in some ways than the Testarossa, it is still like it in that they both are the second from the top in terms of power and more expensive than the 308, 328, 348, 355, & 360 line, yet not in the elite category like the GTO, F-40, F-50, & F60.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v519/Tony9RR/7.jpg

The Porsches; Boxter & a 911 GT3
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v519/Tony9RR/8.jpg

Before the Enzo aka F-60, there was an F-50, before that, there was an F-40, and before that, Ferrari's top racer available to some select buyers was the GTO.
These are both the top of the line Ferraris in their day:

TONY! 01-01-2006 07:50 PM

I am such a big GTO fan, that I need to get a different angle heheh:

Super Bikes section:

From front to back; Yamaha R1 (Yamaha took back the Super Bike throne when this bike came out.
It once had the throne with its FZR 1000, and the R1 was a modernized version that also took first spot), Ducati 996, & Honda NR750 (which has two oval pistons, instead of 4 smaller pistons).
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v519/Tony9RR/2.jpg

This is also a 1/18th scale model of a bicycle I once owned (heheh).
It was made at Venice BeachCalifornia like six years ago from a fellow by the name of Robert.
He made it out of wire while using two needle nosed pliers.
I was very impressed with his skills and had to tip and compliment that man for his 'magic'.

Yeah Suze, I knew you would post yours up. heheh
It's a 'mini me' or 'mini mine' I should say of your car.
Very nice.

I know some of you folks will get a kick out of the following pics.
They are not mine but belong to one of my best bud's and he is shy but told me that it would be cool to put them up for him.

He painted all this!:

Primed but not painted yet; still in progress:

Looks like a real car--even has the oil and the realistic effect of under body grease and dirt!
Check out the tranny.

I will do my part on getting him to post up pics when he is done with it (painting & clearing it).

Go to any hobby store and they should be able to order you one if they already dont have it. I had to order my jgtc Toms castrol supra and the jgtc calsonic skyline. They should be able to order you anything.

You better.
This thread was made as a continuation of a convo we had a couple of months ago, but I thought we should include others in it too.

The car is a JDM Supra. It is a RHD just like the owner's real car.
I think he got it from the Yahoo auction site...probably a Japanese aution too.
Suprra_Girl may know more on that...
Or I can ask him too.

There are two ways of doing that:
1) you can host the pics from an outside sourse like www.photobucket.com
Then insert them in a post by entering the ling between the following code:
[img]what ever link you have (http://www. pic you want to show .com) [/img]
So basically, the address of the pic with a [img] before the link and a [/img] after the link.

or

2) you can host it here using the attachment feature.
Click post "Post" or "Post Reply" if a thread is already made.
Click "Manage Attachments"
Click "Browse..." and get the pic from you computer.
Click "Upload".
Then click "Submit Reply".

dcrusupra 01-03-2006 09:05 AM

I found one. eBay is my friend. lol.

Ok sweet thanks. I think number 2 seems to be easiest. I will take some pics and post. However, my collection is soooo big it will take alot of pics to showyou how much I have and I dont want to bog down the forum so I will try my best to get everything in with as little pics as possible. However, you will probably not be able to adequately see all the models really well.

Awesome how much is it and how much is shipping?

dcrusupra 01-03-2006 06:48 PM

The shipping was $10.80USD from Japan. U just gotta look for the cheapest one so the shipping doesnt own u. It was $17 in total.

SKILMATIC 01-04-2006 11:43 PM

Ok got the pics of some of the collection. Now I have tried to upload them but they are too big. How can I make them smaller so I can put them on? Or can I send them to someone and can someone put them on for me?

TONY! 01-14-2006 03:35 AM

I just dragged the builder of that model (post 7 & 8) into this site.
Get this, not only can he build models, but cars too.
I am not allowed to say what is under that hood :X

Welcome to the forum, projectsupra

projectsupra 01-14-2006 03:49 AM

Thanks Tony! Glad to see some people like my work, weather it be my models or my cars! I bring in alot of models from Yahoo Japan but buy a few from ebay too. I've got some really rare 1/32 scale car models coming in this week from Japan. As for shipping from overseas, the price isn't you main concern. Time is a factor, for $10 you might have gotten sea freight which is 6-8 weeks shipping time, but for a little more you could get EMS which is two-three days. There are many more options but those are the two most common. If you paid $10 for EMS then that is a great deal. For more pics of anything I do check out my site.

Lord Umoja 01-18-2006 04:37 AM

Does anyone know if they make a US Spec model of a MkIV with the Sport Roof? If not how do you experienced modelers reccomend I try making one? I want to build a model that is an exact replica of the car I will get. As soon as I get my Mk IV (Late May) I want to have a model of it for shows.

Lord Umoja 02-02-2006 11:16 PM

Can anyone help with my question? Please see above.
