I must say that, while the above is an impressive build, overall I'm sorely disappointed in the FR-S/BRZ. It's a rather lack-lustre package in nice wrapping paper. It looks good but after drivetain losses only kicks out a whopping 140hp and 170ft/lbs.... I mean, yes, it's pretty good looking and I'm sure once some kits are added it will look like a beast, but any kid in their old Celica GT-S will barely be impressed (as you fail to pull on them from a stop light) or worse yet laugh their ass off as they and a couple friends wipe the street with your ass in their daddy's Camry SE.

But at least they're consistent and placed it where it belongs... In Toyota's ECONOMY brand lineup.

Everyone's talking turbo model.... But even still Toyota wouldn't tune it very aggressively, it'll add weight, and it'll end up still performing no better than a stock Supra, MR-2, Celica All-Trac Turbo.... Hell, the later models of the Toyota Sequoia claim the same 0-60 times.

Toyota's making a show of getting back in the performance game but you've got two options: Out of reach (LF-A) or Nothing but show (FR-S). Well, there is the IS-F sedan but then perhaps we should toss in the Camry SE too... :p
