Question Econodrive monitor problem

Hi.
I am the prowd owner of an `88 MK3 for a week now.
I have this annoing problem.
My econodrive monitor green led never lights up, instead the other one is allways on.
What sensor controls this? What should I do to make it work right?
I can hardly wait to solve this problem.

are you talking about the ECT button near the shifter? the one you can change from PWR to Norm on the display?

Sorry.

My mistake.
I should have presented my car in firsth place...
It is an `88 supra, 3000 turbo engine, manual transmission, targa
I`ll post some pics to be more concludent:

This is all about the 2 leds above the ECONOMY, in the tachometer gauge.
In the supra handbook it says to try keep it into the green if u want economy of fuel. Mine doesn`t light up the green not even when idle...
And I managed the performance to go 250KM with a full tank...
So I was wondering if something is wrong, something that is affecting my car`s thirsth for gas...

Unhappy

I don't know. The question has not come up here.

Perhaps it is vacuum sensitive, as some older American cars had a system that helped you not have the throttle too far open, those lose economy.

Try replacing the oxygen sensor. Check the vehicle's on board diagnostics also. Looks like the european version of the super monitor, which works off of signals from the ECU and fuel injectors.

it gives me no error codes. it just blinks on and on, telling me that it is all ok.

It sees it like i`m all the time pushing the pedal to the metal. Including when i`m just cruising at 2.000 rpm .
It just sucks.

Make a small black sticky dot, and put it over the light, to not see it any more.

yeah... right....

and i can put a always on led behind the green one, right?
No really, doesn`t anyone know how to repair this ?
(It doesn`t bother me so much anymore, but I am afraid not to affect my fuel econnomy by sending false data to the ECU)
