quick question need answered quickly

yea i know prolly supid question but

right side drive cars.....clutch on right or left?

Having never driven a RHD car I can't say this for certain, but given that "right" is the dominant side of the body for 95% of the population the primary control of the car (braking and acceleration) would be best handled by the right foot. While I am interested to see the answer from someone who actually knows, I would be very surprised to learn that the pedals are reversed in a RHD car.

Update: I went and looked at some pictures on the UK eBay site. In the BMW 328 I looked at the pedals still had the clutch on the left and gas on the right while being a RHD car. Although my sample size is just one car I think my original guess was right.

i've always seen them the same in those cars as they are in our cars, so just the shifter will be controlled differently (w/ left hand). I could be wrong though.

My Supra`s an auto, but on all right hand cars in the UK you will find the clutch is on the left side, the pedal layout is the same as for right and left handed cars.

From experience

When I was in the service I had to drive in both Japan and Britain. RHD cars have the clutch on the left. And by the way, it is not as hard to get used to as you may think. I even had to drive LHD vehicles on the "other" side of the road, and that wasn't even that bad. The fact that the Brits are excellent drivers also helped somewhat.

clutch is on the left, and shifts with the same pattern, and order a lhd car
i drove a few rhd cars and trucks b4
including a r33, jdm type-r integra, and a semi-truck etc

it feels wierd at first cuz ur on the other side of the car than you usually are
and drive-thru's are a bitch

but if u really wanna know how it feels to shift with your left hand
jus have sumbody drive the car, sit on the pass. side and shift for your friend
i do it all the time when im riding with a friend and thier on the phone
i even let my girl shift for me sumtimes when im on the phone,
its prettty fun u should try it lol
