My surpa wont start

I recently bought an 89 toyota supra. I drove it home from illinois to wisconsin and stopped to get gas after that it wouldnt start. Finally after a couple hours it started. I took it to a shop to get it checked out and they changed the igniter. I drove it to work and it wouldnt start after i got off work. So i finally got it home. What should I do?

The only thing i can think of is bad gas, but make sure that the fuel pump is working and that all the grounds are good and not rusted at all. check the fuel filter for cloggs. An engine needs 3 things to run fuel, air, and a spark. Check all of those. You could have popped a fuse to the fuel pump. A check you can do is turn the key and have someone listen over at the gas tank cap, take it off and see if when you turn the key see if the fuel pump comes on for a couple of seconds in order to build pressure in the system for starting. Try this and see what happens. Hope this helps

Check the cam position sensor wiring. Just move them around a little and try to start the car.

this happened with my brothers chevy blazer it was the fuel pump if the car gets vibration like shaking the car the fuel pump could get enough vibration to work it and then it cut off like yours did again and the same thing happened but it got to the point where it would not crank with vibration and I had to help buy him a fuel pump for the blazer it was closes to $300 but that is with the fuel sening unit all one assembly. the supras fuel pump I think cost around $80 to $100 its not that bad. try checking first for spark with a spark plug tester they are cheap, and then look at your air filter if its cloged it will not hard start when the engine is hot or really cloged it probly will not start when the engine is hot. if you have spark + air it has to be something with fuel

If your Supra cranks then forget about the starter but, Here is my list of things I would check.

1. Like dcrusupra said, check the wiring because it could be loose.
2. starter relay
3. fuel pump relay

The things I would replace anyways and might be your problem

1. fuel pump
2. fuel fitler
3. starter
4. battery cable from the starter to the battery

--Also do you have any codes?--

have you done some tune-up, lately? your car might need it.. try to check your pump, fuel filters, try to clean the connections..

Are all the gauges working
How's the temp,

Cuz when I bought my car, the temp gauge was not working, and what happend was the car would overheat without me noticing it, and the car would shut down,
And it wouldn't start again until it cools down, and it had a blown headgasket, and also a blown turbo,
And the guy was a punk-b!t(h
So get back at us on the temp level of the car
