the mkIII is 232hp @5,600 rpm, 254ft-lbs@3,200rpm, 0-60mph 6.7 sec, in 5 speed manual, 18-28mpg fuel consumption and weighs around 1600kgs. This is based on the us spec 7mgte engine car(i think also for everywhere else around world except japan). :o

the mkIV is 320hp@5,600rpm, 315ft-lbs@4000prm, 5.3sec 0-60mph and weighs around 1549kgs.this is based on six speed manual not from japan. :o

hope i helped :D

supersupra 05-13-2005 12:25 PM

i would personally go a mkIV as they are newer and i think have more mods (not sure ;). but if your 15 i would just go mkIII. there is no reason not to and a mkIV could be more dangerous in a young drivers hands(no offense :P )

Also it would be much cheaper and i may be getting a mkIII at the end of the year (if i go to uni!!!!)
Either way their supra's so who really cares ;)

just dont you betray me and go to the skyline side

supersupra is right. i think an older one would be better. but, a 6cyl turbo at 16 isnt a good combination. i had one at 18, with a parent who taught drivers ed. i would still loose control of the car. get yourself a slow beater with a good sound system. then work on performance. you want to live a long fruitful life. not shortend by a fuse that some one can light.

suprra_girl 05-18-2005 12:24 PM

congratulations you got me right ;)

mk3 all da way man!! haha

for easy off the bat power straight away... get a mk4 turbo, if you want uniqueness and a little more work... get a mk3 turbo... or get a mk3 and swap in a 1jz do a couple of bolt ons and rape the mk4's ;)

there ya go, easy and simple hehe

KingDiamond 05-18-2005 12:53 PM

cars can get raped?

suprra_girl 05-18-2005 01:01 PM

lol.... hmm k how bout

annialated ;)

KingDiamond 05-18-2005 01:04 PM

would be pretty funny to see a car raping another car though

suprra_girl 05-18-2005 01:09 PM

hmmmm i wouldn't like the repair bills :P

KingDiamond 05-18-2005 01:12 PM

would you have to send your car to counseling after being raped, i'm sure there would be some emotional trauma.

kaveman 05-23-2005 02:54 PM

me and my car feel dirty now .thanks i'll have to go wash her.

Black 5spd 05-23-2005 06:41 PM

i am 17 (turned 17 on sunday 22nd)
i got a supra 86.5 non-turbo 5spd, lowered 1.5 inches, with straight pipes.
she is loud, fast, and handles like on rails.
what does mk3 and mk4 mean????
i just got into supras, but ask me anything about BMW.

suprra_girl 05-23-2005 08:20 PM

mk3 and mk4 are the generations of supras
mk3 = 1986-1992
mk4 = 1993-1998?

the fastest all motor ive heard of runs 13.9 in a quater, which is i think is fast for as heavy as the car is. what size tires does she have to handle like on rails?? mine freaks out at 60mph on corners.

KingDiamond 05-24-2005 12:17 PM

maybe you don't have the right tires monki or something, cause my 85 in as sad a shape as it is in, when it was running (BHG I THINK). She would go through curves nicely and at speeds over 60 at that. my 89 handles curves nice also.

supersupra 05-24-2005 01:32 PM

yeah true tyres play a big part, what size are yours monki?and profile

monkihead 05-24-2005 09:19 PM

225/50r16 prodigy 5000h sport. they are made by yokohama. they came with the car 90% new.

jza80 Supra C-I TT 06-08-2005 12:15 AM

WOULD U NOT TALK ABOUT RAPING. (like i dont see enough on the news) I'MI FIFTEEN.... give me a break man. and no i wont betray the supra and go to the skyline side (NEVER!!!!) and u guys are all like "oh whats your profile" "how much horse power do u have" "you wanna race man?" "i'll let u borrow my turbo" STOP DOING THAT. (i have a HUGE, HUGE, HUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGE urge to drive right now. so please save me the pain. PLEASE!!!)
