Igniter Plug
Hello
88 auto turbo engine. My question is do i need to have the igniter plugs connected in order for my car to start up? Or will the car run and start up with out the igniter plug in somewhere. thanks |
your car won't start without it plugged in. No spark no fire...

Thanks |

Sounds like you are missing the harness for the coil packs? It is only on a GTE engine harness, and it looks like this- 3 black 2 terminal connectors on one end that plug into the coil packs and 1 green colored connector on the end that plugs into the main engine harness. The green one looks just like the one for the cam position sensor. I'm sure you can get just that part of the harness from the dealer, but that won't help you if you have a GE engine harness. The igniter is that silver box behind the diagnostic connector behind the battery. Has a 6 terminal connector and a 4 terminal connector coming out of it if its for a GTE. |
^ informative reply :)
if you need the coil harness lmk as i have a spare |
