amp wiring

ok i am stumped

i have installed
single amp, dual subs
dual amps, triple subs,
triple amps, triple subs
triple amp, dual subs, interior speaker combinations b4

now i am trying to install
this is the most simplest setup i have ever did
a single 12 single amp setup in my mk3

but the fuse keeps blowing out
i have a sony xplod 1000 watt 2 channel amp
with a 12 inch xplod sub
i got an inline fuse (30A)
the two fuses in the amp are 30A too

everytime i put the fuse in it blows
ive tried:
taking the power wire from the battery, put the fuse, when i put it the power back in it blows
took the ground wire from the battery, put the fuse, when i put it back it blows
tried the same thing with the power wire from the amp, same thing happnd
tried the same thing with the ground wire from the amp, same thing

i have went thru a whole pack of fuses already i am stumped and frustrated

any help will be appreciated

I had a dream

Nevrmind the prior question
Last night I had a dream and my subconcious mind talkd to me and told me

Your wires are inverted, idiot,
Switch the power and the ground dumbass!!

And sure enuff I woke up this morning
The wires wasn't in the right place in the amp, that's why it kept blowing the fuse

But I have another question
Everytime I crank the volume up and start get sum bass, the amp shuts off as a safety feature, what could be causing this?

maybe its getting too hot? i dunno my knowledge of amps is limited

thanx for the info,
but i got it fixed,

to anybody getting amps
dont get sony xplods, they suck
i tried bridging the amp and its jus keeps shutting down on me

so now i only can use a single channel and half of the amps power

oh yeah...you could have asked and someone would have told you not to go for xplod. im a rockford fosgate guy myself but there are many other options besides the xplods. if you wanna look for a different setup check out the audio section of the forum, people have posted all about what the run in their cars.
