Did some detective work

Concerning the small fans I referenced in the previous post, the fans are called condenser fans for the A/C. I am not even sure if they could have had anything to do with the check engine light coming on. I checked my coolant level and oil level, I just had an oil change done. Let me say up front that I suck at anything electrical. Could there be a blown fuse causing the light to come on?

All right, I just came back from a test drive and there was no more oil near the fans, but the Check Engine light stayed on the whole time. Other than that, it drove perfect, didn't overheat or anything, shifted fine, and the engine sounds good to my ear. What would cause that light to stay on? Any help would be appreciated.

You may need to run a diagnostic check, but the first thing to do is to disconnect the battery for about 30 seconds or more and see if that clears it. Or pull the EFI 15 amp fuse.
