i just put a new cat, O2 and changed all my plugs but my HC level is still about 50 to high to pass e-test

You can check the TSRM, but i think Calif cars had 2 cats.
High HCs can be caused by cylinder misfires. What kind of test are they doing?? 2 speed idle, or dyno.?? How's the spark plug wires and cap and rotor??

Two cats only in Cali as far as I know. MrNick gave me some help last year and a new O2 and Cat got me through with flying colors, even here in jersey. Hope you can figure this one out. Emissions test suck!

i will try changing the wires and cap. I gotta do a PVC system cleaning aswell. would changing the fuel filter help any and i have also noticed that some times when i start it the car will stall unless i press on the gas almost like its not burning all the fuel in the cyclinder. thax for the ideas lets u know how it works out.
