Charcoal canister

Lately my charcoal canister has been causing me some problems and I was wondering if I can remove it?. I've heard other supra owners say they have removed it but will it effect the performance and what do I do with the three lines running to it?

for a street car, I would leave it in, because removing the canister does not increase power.

I'm not removing it for more power, the canister keeps filling with so much gas that it builds pressure and blows off the bottom rubber hose which then leaks gas all over my hot downpipe(very scary).I think it might be because the motor is running rich because of my bad knock sensor, but for now I took out the canister and ran the (to tank) hose that was on top to were the bottom hose went and plugged the (purge) hose. The car seems to run fine but if this will cause problems or if anyone knows a better way to run the hoses please let me know.

i thought the whole purpose of the canister is to filter the pressurised air going in/out of gas tank

if you got gas getting to your charcoal cannister i dont think removing would get rid of your problem

last night I was driving the car really hard for about 45 minutes and gas started to leak inside the car behind the glove compartment.
