Hi all,
This is my first post in these forums - I'm based in Kent, in SE England and bought a MKII Supra as my first car in 1996. Because of high fuel prices, I stopped driving it a couple of years ago; It was running really well before I stored it. The other day I jump started it, and the starter motor goes, and I can feel air being pushed out of the exhaust. But the cylinders aren't firing. One friend suggested removing all the spark plugs, cleaning them, and putting a thimble full of fuel into each cylinder - I haven't tried this yet, but intend to tomorrow. Any ideas? Thanks in advance, I look forward to getting the old girl back on the road. P.S. I don't have a lot of techinical knowledge when it comes to cars, but am not completely stupid :-) |
if your sure your getting spark to the cylinders, id check the timing and do a compression test on the cylinders.
