Waterfall sound on cold start! HELP!

There is a waterfall sound on cold start on my supra...what problems are there???
I got that sound but don't know what the problem is....engine runs good...temperature is good....
anyone have any idea of what the problem may be?
(It is a Turbo model if it halps!)

Also my supra has 189000kms on it right now.
Anyone have any idea where I can start to look for any problems of the car?
I did smell some burning smell a couple weeks ago while driving but only for a couple minate. Any idea of what may have cost the burning smell???

Do a search for waterfall, this has been thoroughly talked about.

:frown:. Im very sorry to hear this news. As it sounds like a BHG. Drive the car around for a half hour or maybe less and you will see the temp go up.

top off the coolant and check closely for leaks over the next few days .
i hope you find a leak

the water fall sound is caused by a lack of coolant

The Temperature is find even if I drive it for more then half an hour.
Coolant topped off. There is a tiny leak in one of the little tubings up front though. But it is a minor leak.

I'd pressure test the cooling system. Should hold 17 psi and not drop. They are like $50.

What are $50 ??? the test?? Most 'honest' (and not greedy) shops would put the pressure tester on for free. Takes a few minutes.

Yeah for the tester. I meant go to the store and buy the tester and test it yourself and have the tester forever instead of driving to some idiot shop and letting some dummy do it.
