Spudboy is correct. The term rice burner goes way back and I first heard it used to refer to Jap bikes. Twenty five years ago when I was in the Marines I used to read "Easyrider" magazine just to pass some time on ship and it was in use a lot back then. The Harley guys called any bike from Japan rice burners. It's a very old term, but I guess the kids into the import scene today are just starting to hear it.
