difference between a 88 and a 92
 

i am looking at a 92 repair guide and i have a 88 how different will it be just curious? will it work good enough for me to use even though it did change a little.

( MkIV was 93+ right ? ) If it's the same engine as your '88 then yea

just remember:
head bolt torque is 72ft lbs not what the book says at 58 :)
