is this price propper? 2500 for installation of a rocker and new paint job??
 

im having someone install a rocker panel on the driverside which costs a grand and they said they would paint my car pearl white (the original color) for 1500, is that a good deal? all the other places were asking 3 grand to do it. the car also needs minor body repair.

i kinda want a different color than pearl white like the wrx blue but im not sure of the paint code, does anyone els know?

Rocker panel is the panel right underneath the door.

Sounds like a low end paint job. Will they be stripping the paint down or just painting over? Find out how much masking they'll be doing. You don't want everything white.

that would take cutting and welding in a new section i would think

i guess the most you can do is get it done and complain like hell to em if it doesn't look right heh

i was worried about it not looking right but it will, i got a new rocker panel with no dmg so it just needs to get spot welded in and i got the man for the job with lots of experience.

just out of curiosity what happened to it

im not exactly sure but the car fax and title were clean when i bought it for 2k. my guess is that it spun out and hit a log or somthin, cus i live out here in the northwest. it gets real rainy out here.

goodluck on the body work. hope there good with bondo lol. i paid 800 for my supra nad it only has a ding on the rear fender, which made me happy(not cause of the ding, but that that was it). its getting painted soon :) either uber metalic black or really dark charcoal gray

How bout a combo of both colors. My Supra was all black when I bought it. I had a very slight fender bender and bought a silver hood. I was going to paint it, but I really dug the tu-tone. My side molding is charcoal grey and I would like the hood the same color, also, maybe charcoal grey below molding. What do you think of that color scheme? I think it might just look very handsome. Almost like one of those little Lexus>

that sounds nice but im not sure if im interested in standing out like that....

i just rented gt4 and im racing a 90 supra turbo thats forest green....it looks tight. im kinda leaning towards metallic dark green now cus my last car was dark green and it looked real good with tinted windows......my last car i had double lemo tint-they did it twice.

anyways i talked to my guy thats doing the job and we are going to go to this shop in salem oregon tomorrow that he sais has about 50 different shades of each color code to choose from......he sais they got books full of paint codes and we will check it out and buy it on the spot.
