why'd i get smoked buy a 1990 240sx no mods?

212,000 miles never been reover haled and had a really bad miss in it oil in the spark plugs and i fried two wires after we raced

cause you either suck at driving (hopefully not true), or your motor needs a little work, which is probably the case

either your motor needs some tuning up or you need to get the turbo model

2 of my buddys has 240's one has a sr20det swap and the other turbo'd KA

sr20 is fast but you can also turbo the KA and get some kick . ( engines are relible ) but there is just so much you can do with a 4 bangger

are you 100% sure he had no mods? 2nd question ,
dont tell me that you are turbo'd ( because i would laugh )


if he didnt have any mods , you lost because :

Shifted poorly
Need tune up
engine going week / tranny going week

P.S dont forget that loosing to a 240 is not like loosing to a civic , 240 is not a shitty car ( its a good car ) and 240s are lighter.

as previous 1990 240 owner,let me tell u that 240,s even in their stock form are formidable cars that are light, rev pretty good,have decent power and have great gear boxes..what a great car .... anyways,remember that we have pretty heavy cars here that do better at higher speeds than in 1/4 miles ....my respect for the ka,s

hes an 86.5 so im assuming hes na like all the ones that came that year.. i think, but i worked on 240's before, sr's ka's and an rb, ka's arent rev happy you might need a couple mods to open up the flow before it can really get going, but they do have a lot of torque in stock form, sr's on teh otherhand are nice motors with a lot of potential and a good powerband, and rb's...are just on another level like the 2jz...nothing pretty much compares, but i am assuming the 240 had light mods in that car, otherwise you would have been able to keep close to it

Yeah they are good cars and light but you lost to a stock one?Are you sure it was stock? I mean really you shouldnt have lost that race.What you should do is see whats wrong with your car, yeah something is wrong with your car.Something aint adding up.Either your skills are weak or that 240 driver lied to you.
