Sputter @ high rpms with pedal all down!
 

I just recently bought a 1987 Supra turbo!.....the car runs great and lots of power, until you push the pedal all the way down. when it hits higher rpms it sputters and wants to get power, but somethings restricting it!.....If you ease up on the pedal but stay @ same rpms the sputter goes away????/....If anyone knows anything about it please let me know!!.......thanks,......Matt!!

to me it sounds like one of two things, you might need to get your tps adjusted, or you might need to get your engine refreshed and cleaned...

Well, Thanks For the Reply!!!.....I tried adding some fuel injector cleaner in the tank, but that didn't work....also new plugs and wires, no luck with that either. If I had to guess at it, i would start by looking at electrical problems....the plugs were golden brown, so it seems not to be a timing, fuel or spark issue!!!.....it's driving me nuts!!...lol....Anything else you suggest for cleaning??....Thanks, Matt
