Hard to find A/C Leak
This might be helpful to someone. After 15 years of trying to find the A/C leak in my 1987 Toyota supra finally I found the ilusive leak last week. Yes I had taken my car to three A/C shops, even to Toyota dealer at the cost of $900 and many attempts by myself. The leak was from dual pressure switch which is covered by a rubber boot, the boot was hiding the dye while the refrigerants were evaporating into the air. What made this leak even more sinister was that it would occurred only A/C was running and pressure was high. The running engine made the leak impossible to locate with a sniffer. A $7 dual pressure from Autozone was all I needed.
