My 1998 Twin Turbo supra keeps throwing on the check engine light. It stays on a few days, then goes away a few days? The dealership charged me but never fixed it. They tried putting in the codes to clear it, but it comes back on. Now they are telling to may for another new part something about BOOST system something? Anyone know whatsup?

I read somewhere that:

96-98 Supra TT O2 Simulator

Used to eliminate the codes associated with rear oxygen sensors in 1996 to 1998 Toyota Supra Twin Turbos. Often times install a downpipe (cat eliminator) the OBDII equipped Supra's will throw a check engine light (MIL) becaues of no input from the rear O2 sensor. While there is no data to show any harm being done with the MIL light activated it is annoying having the check engine light on. Wires in to existing rear O2 circuit, and generates a simulated sensor signal to prevent the check engine light from illuminating. Simple to install. Product NOT required for 1993 to 1995 Supras..

please help

LOL i don't think even they know whats up hehe

so have you put an aftermarket exhaust and cut the rear sensor out?
if so... there is an aftermarket thing you can buy to imitate the signals it would normally put out to the ecu so the engine check light won't come on

i will go find a link for you and post up as soon as i find it :)

Hi just a note
dont thrash it or boot it till warm cos code lights can be tripped on cooler fuelling .
Did you say you have a sencor [aft the cat ]cos its code often reflects a prob with extra fuel after cat,
so 1st sencor fault ,cat faulty+/or extra fault on induction or ignition even say boost prob relating to air/vacume? would be the common cause of second sencor wrong readings. <_<
