Hi all...was wondering if anyone could help...
I need the torque specs on the cam shaft bearing caps for a 1988 supra 3 liter dual overhead cam ...thanks in advance :) |

thank you so much!!

here's one more question...
when installing camshaft sprockets at 12:00 for replacement, do they have to be at a specific compression stroke like a crankshaft #1 cylinder on compression stroke top dead center, or can the head simply be installed with both sprockets at 12:00? |
That website is the entire factory service manual, if the answers aren't in there, i might be able to find it from my other manual, but I doubt it.
But, I think you mean on lining the sprockets to the camshafts? I think there are 3 ways they can go on, and the middle way is the right way. Then, once that is done, they have matchmarks that match up to each other to line them up. I know there are more knowledgeable people on the forums on this... but I think the sprockets have changed over the years too... |
the heads are non interference so you can stick the head on any way... just make sure the locating pin is in the middle of the sprocket :)
stick her on and set your timing up once it's torqued down ;) |
