Has anyone ever used and carbon fiber driveshaft?

im doing a tt swap in my car and i need the driveshaft that will fit the v160 trans. so i was doing a little shopping and i found a carbon fiber one. it says it will allow the engine to safely rev a 1000 rpm's higher and is rated at 1000rwhp. i was looking at this or an aftermaket aluminum on. but if the carbon fiber one is really what it is cracked up to be then ill go with that. just dont want to spend twice as much on a part that i will have no benefit from. carbon fiber one it 1500 and aluminum is 700. any imput would be greatly appriciated. thanks

RPMs rating is irrelevant... that increases and decreases with the vehicle's physical speed, not affected AT ALL by the engine speed. It does have a greater resistance to the rotational stresses and dampens shocks better than steel (aluminum is horrible at this). The biggest benefits though are weight (reduced rotational mass) and the fact that if it does fail it just turns into a broom, not a 13LB metal spear coming up through the rear seats or hatch... or the following traffic's windshield.
