umm..so i have a huge delema and your opion is gonna make my choice :/

I have an 88 targa turbo. i have a 4 inch hks exhaust bad ass lsd and the car has 58,000 orignal miles.
but lately ive heard a clunk in the oil pain when it first starts, either mains or rods, yes i have oil and pressure. i dunno i guess its a toyota thing.

so anyway i have a little dough saved up.
im thinking 1 j... or even another 7mgte but buid it with nice bolt ons and make sure the motor is sound.

OR depending on how easy you guys think it is to drop the oil pain WHILE its still in the car to check my bearings so i can do nice bolt ons including turbo intake manifold... stuff like that.

SO, What do you think guys?? 1jzgte? (if so how hard to swap, what kind of problems i might have and est how much)
Or a nice newishhh 7m or how can i drop my junk..

You guys decide my fate.

well if u have enough dough i would say go with a 2jz gte swap and u cant go wrong. but it might cost more than the 7m. if u go with a 1j the parts are harder to find from what ive heard. the 7m is a great motor to and the parts are semi easy to find and power is pretty good to. so in my opinion i would stick with the 7mgte
