Hi, i got a 1995 Lexus SC300 inline6, People tell me they have the same motors as the Supras inline6? is this true? please id like to slap on a turbo and get about 450 to 500 to the wheels? can i rebuild the motor i got in my car and build it? or do i have to get a JZ swap to mod?? please help me with my concern

Yep, same engine, but I hear the head is a bit different. Keep in mind that the Supra engines are different for the Turbo and N/A, the turbo engines are built for boost. It appears that a 2JZ-GTE would bolt right in, but mounting the intercooler, and running the piping, let alone the ECU, would be a bit hard (but well worth it). Putting turbos on the stock engine in that car I wouldn't push more than 5lbs of boost because of the compression...

The motor for the sc300 is built almost hte same way as a supra n/a..the only difference is the head...i think the valvetrain is different or somtin like that...its no big difference, you can still slap on a turbo ive seen it done and let me tell you this becomes a fassst car indeed
