troubleshooting?
 

i am a new to the fourm and a new 90 supra turbo owner i have researched supra's for over a year now but i cant seem to figure out my problem on my own.

Im not sure whats wrong with my supra when i floor it all the way nothing comes out but black smoke im thinking its a boost leak but still takes forever to build 5psi. my friends integra with just exhaust can keep up. it feels like it accually goes faster when i back off the throttle ive been told theres probably a cracked pipe from the stock intercooler and to get a hardpipe kit and everything will be good to go (phantasm motorsports NC) but i dont want spend the money if im not sure of the problem. also dont build boost when revved at stop

if anyone can help id greatly appreciate it
modds are 3'dp, and exhaust
