is it possible a supra with only the engine mods can out run a 05 corvette

I've seen a clip where a heavily modify Supra takes out a Corvette Z06, Dogde Viper, and a freakin Lambroghini.

Hell, I saw a 1000 HP Supra burned another car so badly I was laughing so hard and I thought that it was a Cheeta racing a chicken.

yes, the TT MK4's could quite easily beat a supra when modded and pushing more boost. I don't know a lot about the automatics in the MK4's but I DO know the manual transmission is good for over 1000hp as long as you don't miss a shift.

STOCK, the corvette is pushing 400hp, you can easily push out over 500 out of a MK4, but remember....the more power you want, the more you're going to have to spend.

Keep in mind the Mk4 is an absolute TERROR when someone mods them over 1000hp. We're talking hayabusa killing monsters that can do well over 200mph.

Me? I had to settle for a Mk3, but even a Mk3 isn't slow for it's price...

why not a stock 98 supra turbo vs a 98 vette?? that would be an even race.

Who cares? I mean the Supra cost less, so in that case, we have to upgrade to make it the same price like the Corvette. Give me $40 grand and I'll smoke any Vettes out there that are stock.

Of course stock for stock Vettes may win but like monkihead said, same year against same year. Plus if they were to make a new Supra, imagine how many horsepower they'll want it to come out of that new Supra?

Corvette ain't all that. They're all that because they are "American" cars. I do believed that a lot of people are underestimating the Japanese cars. American cars are more faster and stronger because they wanted to make it top of the line cars. Japs car are more reliable and more stronger. If Japs want to, they can too, but they rather import cars and spending little money than just buy a damn car for $100,000 dollars. I rather spend $100,000 on a house.

Hell, I've seen a Civic Honda hatchback take out a Viper. I was like, "a freakin hatchback?". Duh, I thought nothing can beat the Viper but I guess the new world has spoken that anything can beat anything if you "Heavily Modified" them up. Duhhhhhh! He He He :P

I love Corvettes but they cannot be in the same league of the Viper.

But it was nice looking at the MPH gauge. Damn, that was fast though, it went from something around 40 MPH to 150 MPH in like 5 secs...

The Z06 is a viper killer, and the new one will be even worse. I don't bash any fast cars, corvettes have TONS of torque, and are light as hell.

The only reason I like my supra is that I can spank Honda's...but with friends in the back seat :lol: like to see any corvette do that B)

i dont know how many of ya'll remember, but the viper used to get its butt whooped when it first debuted with a lil over 300 hp v10. its come a long way and so has the vette.

as for u having friends with you, well to each his own. you might want to consider an m5 so your friends can at least have leg room.

Leg room? nah, I have people begging me for a ride in my car, they can suffer if they really want to ride in it that bad :lol:

wow... i could never stand being in such confined spaces in a sports car.

I also tend to sit close to the steering wheel because it's the "proper" way to truely enjoy a sports car, and for "spirited" driving :lol:

Close to me a friend's dad owns a MK IV supra which runs a 9.6 1/4mile, heavily modified with nitrous, running around 1050bhp and 1250bhp with nitrous. Its his run around! uses it daily. fair play to the man.
