Head lights not in sync
Can't sleep, picking up my 89 Supra tomorrow...one question, when I turn the headlights on, the one on the driver side pops up but the passenger side stays down...when I turn them off the opposite happens....is this a wiring issue or is there some simple fix? (i'll post some pics of the car when she comes home tomorrow...great shape!)

Heehehee, i've done this many a time ;) The headlights have been installed in 2 different positions. I.e You had the headlights up and the one that is working normally has been installed back into the car in the up position. The other one however was installed down when it should have been up :)
Kinda funny winking effect tho right haha |
yeah, looks like something from a Herbie movie!! I tried pulling the fuse and then winding the headlight up and re-insert the fuse..but...when I turn the lights on, one stays up, the other goes down and I'm back to square one (doah!). I may have to replace the headlight motor...gotta quote of $450..ouch! Any other thoughts?

it's the connecting rod from the headlight to the headlight motor. It has a 14mm nut with washer, undo that and make sure it's not in the way of any moving parts. Turn your headlights on. Reconnect the rod in the up position and all should be fixed :)

ok, I'll give that a shot...thanks:x:! Is there anything in the "world of Supra" you don't know:confused:

Considering that she did a complete tear-down and rebuild of her fantastic Supra, I'd think she's just about covered it all.
Check out her saga in the 'Show-N-Tell' section, or click this: http://www.toyota-supra.info/forums/...rl-s-87-t.html |
