stock boost psi??
 
Hey,
I have an 88 supra turbo bone stock my boost gauge only goes to +4 and i only make it half way between 0 and +4 (so it would be 2 psi with my calculations) does that sound right???? im new and lost

only goes up to 4? doesnt soiund right, all the ones ive seen go up to 8psi. stock pressure is like 5 or 6 i believe

i thought is was funny that it only went to +4. so i guess im only getting 2psi of boost. that sucks. i will have to check my piping i guess. the only good thing is that this means my car should be EVEN FASTER than it already is. thanks

hmm you sure the gauge is read in psi? also start the car and listen under the hood for hissing. im suspecting a boost leak. you could build a boost leak tester if you wanted to.

Are you sure you have done the conversions roght?
On the stock gauge, +4 means +10 psi.
So if you have disabled your fuel cut defender, you should be carefull when messing up with the boost

im an idiot!! its not measured in psi its measured in mmhg. i guess i should pay more attention! thanks everyone for the help:stupid:
