Condidering '84 Supra MK2 for 16/son (1st car)
 

Hello Supra fans!

I have been looking for a car for my son and we recently drove by a blue Supra MK2 with what the owner says has 144,000 miles. He is not the original owner. He bought it 4 years ago and has pretty much left it in storage for a project. He now owns a new car and is getting rid of this Supra.

I plan on taking it to a mechanic. He does not know if the motor is replaced and said there is a chatter sound in the transmission (?!*). Its an automatic transmission, has what looks to be the original everything. My son likes it because its unique.

My question is: Is this a good 1st car or, am I buying into a ton of costly problems? What should I ask or look for? We plan a test drive tonight.

well i am 16 and i bought my supra few weeks ago i bought 1994 manual get a rev check done on the car thru transport depart ment and yeh get mechanic to do a thurra check over . how much is it
