can we get some sample temps on some of your cars ?
i don't have an issue i just want to see ohter people running temps


running at about 190 degrees when doing 80 miles an hour on the highway the outside temp was around 80 maybe just shy of 80 but hummidity was on the high side
on the way back using a different route i traveled at about 45-55 or so temp was about 170 degree outside dropped to prolly 60's
about a 3 hr run total there and back

i can see the changes on the autometer temp gauge but on the stock gauge it doesn't move at all .

i start not enjoying the ride ( if or once) i get over 190 degrees ,

it's paranoid huh ?

i have an electronic temp sensor into the block by # 6
i use a fluidyne radiator ,
a `16" electric fan from permacool i think it's 2900 cfm or so
last season i used straight water and redlines' waterwetter
this year i'm starting out with eco friendly green stuff ,, but i will prolly switch back to the water wetter

what are your running temps ?

If you run a mixture of 50/50 coolant water, and a 13 lb cap, you will raise the boiling point up about 250* F. The coolant also keeps the system from corroding. Aluminum and iron, with circulating water, tend to cause electrolosis in the system, which will form nasty deposits thru out. Deposits prevent the heat from transfering to the coolant.

Cheap enough....change coolant, thermostat, and cap every 2 years. Flush out system real good. A 1 hour job. I recommend ethylene-glycol (old green stuff), or Toyota dealer stuff.

i am interested in the boiling point of my supra not so much the fuild

well.. when my cooling system was happy.. i.e. no bhg LOL

it ran an average of 185 just driving around the city streets, temps don't get overly hot here.. probly 65ish at the mo outside temp

when boosting hard i can get up to 194deg
highway driving 60mph ish 179deg

so basically i average out at 179 - 194 city, highway, boosting hard, cruising... anywhere between there i say is A OK :)
