Thoughts of TT auto

As alot of you know i bought a 1993 supra recently, its N/A auto... the swap to a tt it self doesnt seem all the expensive (i know its still alot..) it seems like the money part is the conversion to a 6spd... Just want to know your thoughts if i were to do a TT swap but stay auto.. Isnt it worth it? Should i keep it auto? I know manual is so much more fun but just the 6 spd tranny is $$$. I would also like to hear imput from the members that are boosted that drive an auto, but imput from anyone would also be helpful...

Ive also heard people telling me to do a N/A-T but i have over 140k, what would be your imput on this also...

What will you be using your Supra for? Roadracing (i.e. what the car was designed for)? Drifting? Drag racing? Show-car? Daily-driving?

Hey man... In my opion I would look at exactly what you want to do with it... In a striat up drag...the auto will have the 6-speed proably up to 500ish HP then I have hurd it starts to slip... I persoanly would go with the 6-speed because of More power with the right clutch and lots and lots of burnouts....heehe

The tt's auto tranny does eventually start slipping past about 550rwhp or so, but the 6spd's oem clutch will slip LONG before that...

Also, burnouts are generally much easier with the auto, since all you have to do is hold the brakes lightly and slam the accelerator to the floor (not good for the driveline nor rear brakes, but it does work). To get a really good burnout with a 6spd, without destroying your clutch in the process, you need a line-lock kit.
