Default Hks internal wastegate actuator

Ok, pwpanas here's one for you. How much room does a straight rod hks actuator need between the rod and my coolant fitting? Does it move up or down or is it a straight movement?

Hmmm... I'd guess about one and a half inches (at most)...more likely an inch should be fine.

That said, I've never installed an HKS actuator (alone) on an mkiv. I've only installed complete wastegates that include both the actuator and the valve. Are you working on an Mkiv Supra? If so, why are you installing an actuator? If it helps, please post a picture.

P.S. I'm basing my guess of 1" to 1.5" on the distance that the oem mkiv actuators move.

NB: Please consider posting any help requests in a new thread instead of asking me for help privately. About 99.9+% of the time, private help requests end up covering great information that could be very valuable to other forum members. If you have a good reason for needing the help request to be private, I'll consider it. If not, then why not give everyone else the opportunity to pitch in too, and/or learn from the information? Remember, there's no such thing as a dumb question. We're all here to help within this family of Supra owners.
