Question about mod!

Couldnt find any answer no where and im getting pissed lol , i have a supra 1996 jdm turbo and wanted to know if i remove the catalitic converter do i have to remove both and since its a jdm where do i get that restriction plate that they all talk about , wanna know too if its really necessary to install bigger injectors since they say the 443 cc can handle 425 hp , also what other mod should i do to get it to 400ho with a twin turbo without doing conversion to single ive got already intake , intercooler and exhaust done , i wanna get a boost controller and that fuel cut defender , anyway if somebody could help me a bit would be good i just got it imported from japan i read a lot but im not 100% sure about nothing lol

Although I'm not 100% sure about how the JDM ecu reacts to having the cats removed, but worst case I believe it should only throw an ecu code...which should mean you won't pass emissions. Based on how the US model behaves, there should be no negative implications to removing the cat performance-wise.

If I recall correctly, the restriction plate helps to limit over-boost. However, with enough octane in your fuel, over-boosting isn't a serious issue. With enough octane in your fuel, the only significant negative implication to over-boosting is that running a higher boost level is harder on your oem (JDM) turbochargers...and of course running a higher HP is a bit harder on your entire drive-line.

To get 400-ish rwhp you'll also need to eliminate the fuel cut. A Greddy BCC is the device normally used...although an HKS 'Fuel Cut Defender' also sort-of works too (but not as well as the BCC). The issue with the FCD is that it linearly corrupts the TPS signal to the ECU, whereas the BCC only affects the signal to the ECU at and above the point of fuel cut.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.
