2jZ-GE to JDM 2JZ-GTE swap?

How complicated a task is this swap? Can someone with a reasonable amount of mechanical ability take this on or is it best left to experienced pros?
Basically what I am looking for from this post is 1) a better idea of what I am going to have to buy that doesn't come with these JDM engines. and 2) more details on what I can expect as far as actual complexity of the swap. Any help with this is greatly appreciated and I will include a link below to list exactly what is included with the engine incase someone is not familiar.

This may not be the exact site I use, but all the sites I have browsed include the exact same stuff so I just used the most easily recognized site. Also I question I have is if a VVTI GTE would cause any additional issues given my current supra does not have it. Not exactly clear on VVTI as far as if it uses a module or is purely mechanical in nature? Sorry if I asked any stupid questions, but I would like some input.

Yes, the 5-speed does bolt right up to the 2jz-gte bottom end. Don't expect it, or the differential to take the horsepower for long. The Mkiv Supra Turbo's front-to-back 2000hp driveline (6spd, except the clutch) is one of the reason's for this car's legendary status.

Swapping the engine, wiring harness, ignitor, and resistor pack isn't that bad. You also may have trouble with emissions because the ecu you'll need to run the engine isn't designed to pass US specs.

Yes, a VVTi GTE would be even tougher, because (for example) there's no such thing as an oem LHD VVTi wiring harness for the jza80. You'll have to take a Japanese-spec RHD VVTi wiring harness and custom-modify it for LHD.

Even if you get all this done, like I said in the other threads on this topic, all you will achieve is an unbalanced automobile. It'll sit there and spin because the rims are too narrow. Then when you get going fast, which you will because of the hp increase, you won't be able to stop efficiently and consistently. Then your transmission and/or differential will give out because you're pushing too much hp through it. Sorry to be pessimistic/fatalistic here. My recommendation is to sell your n/a and save up for the full TT you clearly want instead. Either way, I wish you luck and hope you succeed in whatever route you choose to take.
