I have a Kakimoto Exhaust on my Supra and it sounds great, it was installed by the previous owner but if I remember correctly, he told me it cost him about $900.00 w/ the installation included. I suggest youtube-ing Kakimoto Exhaust, to see and hear the quality for yourself. I hope that I was of some assistance. -Alec

Considering the Mkiv TT was a $45K+ sportscar (in 1993 dollars), that $850 for an imported (made in Japan) exhaust really isn't that bad. Note that $45K in 1993 dollars, adjusted forward for inflation is about $75,000. Although the '93 Mkiv Supra TT outperformed '93 Porsches and '93 Ferraris when it came out...and even hung with the '93 (C4) ZR1 'Vette and '93 Viper...aftermarket parts for the Mkiv Supra TT compared to Porsches, Ferraris, 'Vettes, and Vipers could be considered quite decently affordable.

In other words, comparing Mkiv Supra Turbo parts to Mustang parts, to me, is kind of an apples-and-oranges comparison (just mho). A new '93 Mustang sold for at most $21K for a GT convertible...no?

For example, take a look at these 'domestic' exhausts:...maybe I should be glad I don't have a domestic, or my wallet would be REALLY hurting? ;)

That is all very true...But I am talking about my 92 here. I got used headers/mid-pipe for 150$. Sanded it down, sprayed it with 4 coats of VHT and they looked good as new! I picked my car up for 2,100 (a good deal from my dad's friend) and put another 3/4K into it. I like it and have fun with it all the time! I'll romp around on the occasional 2010 camaro SS ;)

I understand. My point was that you can't compare your '92 Mustang to an Mkiv Supra TT (like you did here) - it's literally apples and oranges. Since the cars aren't comparable, the parts won't be anywhere near the same price range. *shrug*
