New Member saying hi

Hi guys,

Today I bought my first Supra (twin turbo) so thought I would sign up and say hi.

First of all Sky insurance has to be the best insurance company ever!

I have a few issues I hope you can help with....

1) Both windows don't go down, i'm guessing it's something to do with the motor or power but does anyone know the likely cause?

2) Driving it back to Portsmouth and decided to put my foot down, as I accelerated the master warning light came on. I didn't notice any difference in performance and after pulling over, switching off/on it disappeared. Any ideas or just something random?

Why do you like Sky insurance?

Unfortunately, I'm not aware of any common problem with the Mkiv Supra's power windows. The best bet will be to follow the troubleshooting steps in the TSRM.

Regarding the master warning light, you need to pull the codes from your ecu to determine the issue. Just a guess would be the oil level, but by pulling the codes you'll know for sure.

I went through many insurance companies/websites e.g Adrian Flux,go compare, confused etc and after reading these forums I gave Sky a go. Not only were they much cheaper than many of the other insurance companies their staff were much more friendly and helpful.

I will take the car down to my local performance garage tomorrow and get them to have a look at the windows etc.

What happened with your power windows?

I took it to Re-Worx in Portsmouth. They found some wires in the drivers foot well had been corroded. They cleaned them up and now both windows work again!

I have a few other little things to do, the engine warning lights on the right hand side of the control panel aren't coming on and I need to disable the warning light for the spoiler as it has already been removed.

I'd like to upgrade the standard Supra brakes, any ideas on a decent affordable package?

Do you want an affordable package, or one that will stop your Supra better than the oem mkiv brakes?
