yeah, being the curious one I am, and looking at things I can't afford (like a MKIV), it seems like the average price of a good unmolested MKIV TT is around $25K, so that sounds about right.

Just check the usual stuff on it, and if it's good, run with it B)

the reality is any low to mid milage mkiv tt.. 6spd especially...is 30k and up
