Motor Dies When Gas Is Not Pushed

Newbie here, but maybe some of you pros can help me out. Got a 93 that had been sitting for a year. When its started now, the engines cranks up and drives, but as soon as I completely let go of the gas, the engine dies. Any suggestion on what to check first.

if it's a standard, it isn't stalling because you let go of the gas in gear... right? (you never know :) )

well, lets assume that I knew how to drive a manual and would know the difference between letting off on the gas in gear. Could it be something in the injectors, or maybe the throttle? Any other suggestions?

Is it a TT? Has it been modified or is it 100% bone-stock?

Just guessing without any other info, it sounds like it could be a boost/vacuum leak (assuming the gas in the tank isn't a year old).

Agreed, but only as a test. For a daily driver, the 12v mod isn't ideal.
