I need the experts help!!
I just finished rebuilding 7mgte turbo JDM motor, metal headgasket, ARP studs torqued to 82, block and head machine lapped to near perfection. Engine runs great, good oil pressure (40 psi@ 2500 RPM) no overheating problems, temp gauge rock solid. BUT I am getting oil in the radiator and overflow bottle.....however not a single drop of water in the oil. Second problem....when idling after driving for awhile (engine warmed up) I get a good size puff of whiteish smoke. Rebuilt turbo , compression check good all cylinders between 165 to 170 . Any help would be appreciated!!

I havnt rebuilt my motor but when my car is warmed up i get a nice puff of white smoke behind the car, and my oil pressure is what i would consider high, mine sets a 40psi for the most part when i was doing normal driving it usually stayed between 20 and 30 until i get on it really hard or higher rpms, it sounds to me like you have a Blown headgasket still, maybe it wasnt sealed properly or maybe there is a order in which you were suppost to put the arp studs back in for the head gasket to seal properly.
I am NOT an expert i just thought i would throw my 2 cents in the pot. |
